I'M JON ALVARADO AND I'M HERE TO SUPPORT YOUR JOURNEY TO A LIFETIME OF COMPANIONSHIP
Dog Training covers a wide range of techniques based on the needs of the owner and the learning ability of the dog. I use positive based training methods to bring out the highest motivation from the dog along with highest level of confidence and trust with their handler. I have been running a part time dog training business from 2017 to present.
In addition to a certified trainer and Behavioral Specialist, I am also a retired US Army Officer with 24 years of service with multiple deployments. I served in Iraq in 2004 and East Africa in 2012-2013. I retired in 2014.
I served in the LA Riots in 1992 and was a volunteer First Responder at Ground Zero after the attacks on September 11, 2001. I also was an Animal Control Officer in Santa Cruz County from 2016-17. With this experience, I know firsthand the challenges and stress that PTSD has on many veterans and first responders. By working with dogs and service animals I learned the key role that a Service Animal, a Therapy and Emotional Support Animal can play in assisting one in their recovery.
I train on site at my home training site but can also train at clients preferred location if that is more suitable.
